We know lots of you are just as crazy about Ryder Creed and Grace as we are. Throughout the first six books in the series, each novel has just gotten better than the last, jam packed with both phenomenal characters and nail-biting suspense. While Alex Kava usually gets the next installment in our hot little hands each year, 2021 has come and gone without a new book. We kept getting emails from all of you asking when the next book will be released. For months, we had no idea. But now we do!

But before we spill the beans on when you can get your copy of the new book, we thought you might want to know why publication has been delayed until now. Unfortunately, Alex has been very sick. Even though she tried valiantly to stay healthy and just focus on her writing, she wound up in the hospital for five days with Covid-pneumonia.

In Kava’s November newsletter to her fans, she wrote, “It’s been a long recovery. I’m not going to get into details, but I do want to say this: even if you’re vaccinated you are not bulletproof.” She even went on to say that half of her team wound up in the hospital with the same diagnosis! Of course, we hated hearing that Alex and her crew were touched by the pandemic, but we are definitely grateful that they are still alive and kicking and now, finally, back to work.

So now to the bit of news you’ve been waiting for. Fallen Creed will be released March 15, 2022! Isn’t the cover divine? We simply love it! Those red wood are both threatening and enchanting, and we’re pretty sure anything can happen deep within them. As such, this seventh volume in the series has got to be a whopper of a tale and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into it!

We’ve included they synopsis below, as well as links so you can pre-order the book. If you order it from Alex via her website, she will give you a $2 discount and free shipping. Just use promo code: POFALLEN. There isn’t an audiobook available to pre-order just yet. But be patient, it is coming. If, on the other hand, you prefer to order it via Jathan & Heather Books, we will let you know when the book becomes available in our online store. Hang tight! It’s coming.

Also, if you prefer to borrow the book from your local library, that’s great too. Just be sure you reserve the book at your library or ask the librarians to purchase Fallen Creed so you can get it ASAP, maybe even on publication day if you’re lucky. Happy reading!

The discovery of human remains in a roadside ditch leads K9 handler, Ryder Creed and his scent dog, Grace on a dangerous search. An early October snowstorm isn’t the only thing that blindsides the pair, and SUDDENLY THE TRACKERS BECOME THE TRAPPED.

IT BEGAN AS AN ORDINARY SEARCH.

K9 handler, Ryder Creed and his scent dog, Grace return to Nebraska to join FBI Agent, Maggie O’Dell and Special Investigator, Tommy Pakula on the same task forc that helped rescue his sister, Brodie a year ago. But their job is interrupted when a rural Postal carrier finds a black, plastic bag discarded in a grassy roadside ditch. What’s inside is shocking to even these seasoned investigators: the partial remains of what appears to be a young woman.

TRUST NO ONE.

Just that morning another young woman has gone missing. Is her disappearance connected? Did she run away? Or was she taken? And is it only a matter of time before she ends up in a roadside ditch?

Ryder agrees to search for her, but an early snowstorm threatens to replace the warm fall temperatures. His scent dog, Grace has never worked in cold and snowy conditions.

THEN EVERYTHING GOES WRONG.

The snow blurs the landscape and grinds life to a halt. As Maggie O’Dell searches for answers about the victim, she begins to uncover a cold-blooded, ruthless killer who has murdered before. By the time Maggie realizes no one has heard or seen Ryder since before the snow began to fall, she fears he and Grace may have walked into the killer’s path.
