In the first installment, actress and singer Princess Elmore teaches New York Times bestselling novelist Brenda Jackson to make her yummy white chicken chili.

During this webisode, Jackson dishes on her latest book, The Wife He Needs, which is part of her Outlaw series and the newest chapter in her Westmoreland family saga. But don’t worry, she doesn’t give too much away in case you haven’t read the book yet!

She also tells us how her former classmates and teachers inspired her writing career, what she did before she wrote her first novel, and about the philanthropy work she currently does which helps high school seniors on their way to college.

Our favorite part of this interview/cooking lesson, however, is when Jackson reminisces about her own marriage and how her husband of 47 years still makes her work as a writer possible. It’s a very sweet story you’re going to love!
