Love Is In Bloom ‘On Magnolia Lane’ [REVIEW]

It wasn’t hard to fall in love with the young florist who is just as beautiful as the bouquets she puts together. But confessing his undying love for her could prove problematic, especially since she’s only seen him professionally for the past two years. How does a man summon up the courage to overcome his fears? Find out in Denise Hunter’s delightful final installment of the Blue Ridge series, On Magnolia Lane

Jack McReady has fallen hard for Daisy Pendleton. It wasn’t like he intended for it to happen. But over the past two years she’s been going to him for counseling sessions, opening up her heart to him and revealing what a special person she truly is. In fact, Jack thinks he probably knows her better than anyone else, and because of that, he’s head over heals for the young florist—even if she doesn’t see him in the same way at all.

Daisy does dream of falling in love, however. For as much as she finds contentment in her work and in her small Georgia town at the foothills of the Appalachian Trail, she longs to find that someone special to share her life with. But when a girl already knows everybody in town, where does she go to find romance? The Internet, of course! And even if she’s had a few bumps along the way, it’s better than just sitting idly by waiting for fate to send someone her way. So when she meets TJ online, it seems like things may finally be looking up.

What she will never guess, however, is that the man she’s falling for on the Web is a man she already sees on a regular basis. Only Jack knows the truth, and as much as he longs to be the man of her dreams in life and online, he is afraid to make the big reveal for fear that it will send her running for the hills rather than straight into his arms. With so much at stake, will Daisy ever see that the man she wants has been right in front of her all along?

On Magnolia Lane is classic Hunter. Poignant and sweet, funny and outrageous, this is a story that captures our hearts from the very first page and refuses to let go. Both Daisy and Jack are endearing characters we can’t help but cheer for, hoping that they will somehow find their way to love and happiness, and yet Hunter does a stellar job at always keeping what they desire most just out of reach. To further complicate matters, and rivet our attention to each page, she peppers the tale with quirky, lovable characters who make it quite clear why Daisy loves her small town life so much.

For all the readers who can’t get enough of stories by Debbie Macomber, Susan Mallery, and Colleen Coble, Hunter’s On Magnolia Lane is a must-read. It is full of heart and humor, has a dash of whimsy, and is fueled by hope. It’s the kind of read we need more of in our lives these days, and it is one which reminds us why all we need to move mountains is courage the size of a seed. Yes, On Magnolia Lane will make you believe in the redemptive power of love. Enjoy!
