When a young secretary is found dead, her employer believes something sinister is afoot. And once again, Amanda Quick captivates devoted fans in her latest novel, Garden Of Lies.

When she uncovers mysterious clues Anne Clifton left behind before her untimely demise, Ursula Kern, owner of the Kern Secretarial Agency, begins her own investigation into the death of her former employee.
Archaeologist and adventurer Slater Roxton, however, feels Kern is meddling with something far more sinister than she is capable of handling alone and offers his assistance.
Together they hunt down a killer far more dangerous than imagined and find they are very compatible working companions.
Garden Of Lies will surprise you at every turn, rife with Quick’s fascinating array of nuanced, multi-layered characters; raw emotion and breathtaking intrigue.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast-paced, suspenseful novel and fell in love with its quirky characters. Strong-willed, shrewd, savvy and quick witted, Kern is a modern woman in Victorian London, brazen and astute, unafraid in the face of danger.

Then there’s Roxton who I found particularly enchanting with his eccentric personality traits and his need to draw on his past to cope with the present.
All in all, Garden Of Lies is an intoxicating read you will not want to put down until the last page is turned.
