By the time my family moved to Texarkana, Arkansas, nearly 40 years had passed since a killer terrorized the twin cities. In fact, we were unaware of the trauma the city had endured for years. As a boy, I was more intrigued by the stories my classmates shared about the Boggy Creek Monster who was rumored to prowl around the Sulphur River Bottoms near Fouke, Arkansas. But as I later learned, those stories paled in comparison to what evil lurked along the backroads of Texarkana for 10 long weeks in 1946.

The Old Mill Is A Photographer’s Paradise [PHOTOS]

When we travel, it is always fun to find an out-of-the-way place that is both picturesque and relaxing to visit. During our trip to North Little Rock this weekend for the Bon Jovi concert, we pulled up Trip Advisor on my cell phone to see if there was anything we should stop and see while we were in town. One of the off-the-beaten-path destinations it listed was the Old Mill at T.R. Pugh Memorial Park. So we decided to check it out, and boy were we glad we did!
