I enjoyed reading this novel because I could easily put myself in Dean or Hope’s shoes. And maybe I just knew someone in my life who reflected the qualities of one or the other. Either way, James gives readers a realistic view of relationships. They are difficult! You have to put yourself out there and trust your partner will catch you. But you won’t ever know this if you don’t open up your heart, mind and soul to someone else.
