Whitney Carlisle and her fiancé Trent Connolly are ready to make a lifetime of memories together as husband and wife. However, she has a few secrets she has not shared with him yet. Although Whitney tries to act like nothing is wrong and holds her feelings inside, she isn’t fooling Trent one little bit.

Although Trent tries repeatedly to let Whitney know that he is there for her in every way possible, it is to no avail. Whitney only sees herself as a burden, as someone who won’t be able to fulfill the biggest promise of her life, the one she will make to him on their wedding day.

Personally, I don’t know a single person who won’t be able to relate to Whitney’s emotional turmoil. In A Lot Like Forever, Snow (Alaska Dreams) delivers an authentic, touching story brimming with reality and truth. Also, the conversations she writes between Trent, Whitney, and her mother team with life.

In fact, as I read this book, I couldn’t help but recall several heartfelt conversations my husband and I have had over the years, both before and during our marriage. Snow writes these tough talks with a skilled hand, capturing just how challenging and visceral they often are. She also demonstrates how rewarding they can be as well, because this type of candor—sharing one’s innermost thoughts and feelings—only draws a couple closer together.

Reminiscent of Brenda Novak and Miranda Liasson’s best, A Lot Like Forever prove that love and friendship truly know no bounds if we only allow others to share our journey. If you enjoy your romance novels filled with scenes that feel pulled from real life, Jennifer Snow’s latest will win your heart.
