Sometimes people get our motives all wrong. At least that’s what happens to a woman intent on helping her ex move on with his life. When she runs into an old college foe, he suspects she has ulterior motives and is determined to keep her away from the groom. Which one of them will accomplish their goal? Find out in Robin Bielman’s delicious new novel, The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy.

After answering a drunken call from her ex boyfriend a week before his wedding, all Kennedy Martin wants to do is help Reed marry the woman of his dreams. Reed has doubts about his fiancée, Elle. However, Kennedy feels the engaged couple just isn’t communicating sufficiently. So Kennedy grabs her best friend Andrew and the two drive back to her hometown, determined to convince Reed and Elle to talk.

Then in comes Maverick Owens, her college nemesis. The history of competition between the two of them is as long as your arm. Can Kennedy convince Maverick she is only trying to help the groom or do the many chaotic situations that follow Kennedy prove she is up to no good?

What I enjoy most in this novel are the exchanges between Maverick and Kennedy. Robin Bielman has a real knack for writing witty banter, which really hit a home run for me. There were several times these two lead characters made me laugh, mostly because they reminded me of several situations I found myself in when dating my husband. Sometimes I could not win for trying! Yet we laughed until we cried sometimes. Thankfully, Jathan always knew my intentions were good.

Also, Bielman paints a beautiful picture of what a healthy family dynamic can look like. The Owens clan is a hoot, especially when it comes down to the interplay between the siblings. Family doesn’t let you get away with anything!

If you love sweet stories that make your heart happy and which are filled with lots of humor, hope, and lightning quick repartee, I encourage you to pick up a copy of The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy. You won’t be disappointed!
