Forever

Jane Harding may be a teacher by day, but in her off hours she’s a budding romance novelist who finds her well-structured life falling to bits. Her next book is due, her teaching contract has come to an end, and to top it all off she’s helping her best friend prepare for her impending nuptials. Actually, the wedding prep is a welcome distraction, at least until she discovers that the best man is the one person who makes her go weak in the knees.

Toby Garrett might have the determination it takes to ride bulls on the rodeo circuit, but a recent accident may kill his days as a bucking buckaroo. As frustrating as that may be, the doctor’s orders to rest and recover don’t seem so bad once he runs into Jane, the very girl who has fueled his fantasies ever since that moment they shared a heated kiss so long ago. Of course, that was before she left him behind, something he has no one to blame for but himself since he didn’t even try to stop her. Now he wants to make amends though and try to recapture what they once had. But will she meet him halfway or stop him in his tracks?

It’s true. Sometimes life does not go as we plan. As we strive toward success, we frequently earn bumps and bruises along the way. What would happen if we just listened to what fuels our mind and spirit instead of running towards an empty life filled with material things? In First Kiss with a Cowboy, Richardson makes us stop and ponder our life’s choices by introducing us to two characters we can readily identify with.

Jane Harding is the girl who hides who she really is because she is afraid to let others see her radiant inner beauty. Toby Garrett is her former high school classmate and a man who runs from a family tragedy that’s never talked about. Their personal struggles threaten to consume them both, leaving them with nothing but empty lives.

First Kiss with a Cowboy reminds us that we are all running from something. It could be expectation, love, acceptance, forgiveness, happiness or something else. What matters is what we do to confront the very thing that stops us from becoming whole. By means of Jane and Toby’s tender story, Sara Richardson teaches us that we must nurture our souls and allow ourselves to grow into the people we want to be, but doing so takes strength and courage and is a continual process that ebbs and flows.

Just as Jane and Toby come to understand that happiness and contentment come when we learn to let go, Richardson gently prods us to release what we can’t control and choose love every time. Don’t miss First Kiss with a Cowboy, Jane and Toby’s endearing journey toward love and the first volume in Richardson’s new Silverado Lake series!

This edition includes the bonus novella Cowboy to the Rescue by A.J. Pine.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sara Richardson grew up chasing adventure in Colorado’s rugged mountains. She’s climbed to the top of a 14,000-foot peak at midnight, swum through class IV rapids, completed her wilderness first aid certification, and spent seven days at a time tromping through the wilderness with a 30-pound backpack strapped to her shoulders.

Eventually Sara did the responsible thing and got an education in writing and journalism. After a brief stint in the corporate writing world, she stopped ignoring the voices in her head and started writing fiction.

Now she uses her experience as a mountain adventure guide to write stories that incorporate adventure with romance.

Sara lives and plays in Colorado where she still indulges her adventurous spirit, with her saint of a husband and two young sons.
