This year’s theme is “Using What You Learn.” The weekend will open with a welcome party on Friday night, but Saturday will be jam-packed with learning sessions featuring experts from around the country talking on matters relevant to freelancers, the media, students and educators. Topics covered will include ethics, border coverage, new bilingual approaches, new media, platforms and investigative reporting. University of Texas at Austin professor Paula Poindexter will be the keynote speaker.
